"Royal Lady", lacquer and gold leaf on wood

Bui Huu Hung is Vietnam's established artist, specialising in traditional lacquer art, a unique art from of Vietnam. Hung studied at Vietnam Fine Art University.

Hung is known for his "Royal Lady" series paintings using how own special techniques to create amazing fine details, with gold leaf guilt onto the work.

Since 1995 Hung has staged fifteen solo and participated in several group exhibitions in Vietnam and internationally. His works are proudly hung at private and public collectors including Singapore Fine Art Museum (Singapore), Museum of Sydney (Australia), State Museum of Oriental (Russia) and Museum of ULB University in Brussels (Belgium), Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong), Park Hyatt Hotel, Vietnamese Embassies (London, Brussels). Hung was also featured in several books from 1990s to 2000s.

Bui Huu Hung is a member of Vietnam Fine Art Association and the International Association of Lacquer Painters.
